Like any community, we have a few rules to make sure that everything runs smoothly, and everyone has a decent time while visiting Cause4Alarm. Please read them over carefully, and don't hesitate to ask any staff member about them if you're unsure.

Server Guidelines

- No racism/discrimination - This includes words that are offensive in nature, even if they are out of context. Punishment is as follows: Typed or spoken warning, then ban. Ban should be temporary unless the second offense was blatant and intentional, in which case it should be permanent.
- No cheating - A demo should be recorded, then the hacker should be permanently banned once the admin has sufficient evidence. Without a demo or other convincing evidence, any challenged ban should be overturned.
- No laming - This is defined as taking fun away from the players in the server. Holding up rounds, not playing to win, etc would fall under this rule.
- No exploits - This includes Developer and Full Update. These commands are blocked on our servers and any attempts to use them will render punishment.
- No spam (chat or voice) - Punishment is as follows: warning, then punishment per admin's discretion. This may include a mic ban, or ban outright. If player persists, then perhaps a temporary ban if the offense was blatant and intentional.
- Respect all players - Punishment is up to the admin's discretion.
- Respect Cause4Alarm and its Staff - Punishment is up to the admin's discretion. This applies to any derogatory statements made against the c4a staff or community, not the admin simply as a player(a.k.a. trash talking).
- No Impersonation - Punishment is up to the admin's discretion. This includes mimicking another player, clan, or tag or acting as a Staff member when you are not. If names match out of coincidence, nothing can be done, but if the mimicry is to personally annoy someone or some group it must be changed.
- No porn sprays - This includes nudity and any offensive sexual material. Punishment up to the admins discretion.
- No advertising - Punishment up to the admins discretion. Other servers, clans, and communities in a users name are allowed, but spamming say and the mic with ads will not be tolerated.
- No pre-buyng - This means buying on a map/server that does not allow buying and also buying at the start of a map/round to exploit the server.
- No nade spamming - Buying more than one nade from the buy zones is not permitted.
- No ghosting - Warning, then kick. If a player is afk, ghosting is allowed.
- [c4a] Tag - Tag is for staff members only. Our server blocks any non-staff member from having it in their name.
- Mic bans - If you are mic banned, only the banning admin can unban your mic. You must request permission from them in-game.


For specific servers:

Iceworld:
No Spamming: This includes spamming any white wall at any time throughout the round. Prefire is allowed, but obvious white walling or blind firing is a punishable offense.This also includes spamming nades from the buy zone.

Fun maps:
Do not intentionally crash the server. This includes exploits on maps such as fun_allinone.
Do not intentionally team kill.
Do not intentionally help the other team, this falls under laming. This includes exploits such as dropping guns on awp_snowsk337.

SKWA:
No spawn camping. Warning, then punishment at the admin's discretion.
No nade glitching. This includes throwing nades when it is not a nade round.

Volleyball:
No serving into the ground.
No blocking your own team's serve.
No spiking of the ball until after the opposing team has hit the ball, or any other tactics that take away from other players fun.



Reporting Incidents:
If you see a hacker and there is no admin on the server, record a demo or sufficient proof, and post the information here. Be sure to follow posting rules for that section.
If you witness a staff member abusing their powers, please post that report here. Be sure to follow the posting rules for that section.
When reporting racism, please be sure to include proof that the player was warned and well aware that racism is not allowed in our servers.
If you make a report, be sure to include adequate proof. This includes a screenshot, demo, or any other concrete proof. Copying text is allowed, but please try to get a screenshot or demo instead. Server Logs can be checked for verification, but requires much more work on the Administrators part.


Forum Guidelines:

All ban requests, unban requests, and abuse reports are to be discussed only in the appropriate forum. Only Directors, the offender, and the acting Admin may discuss the situation during the resolve. Any other posts from other members will be removed.

Do not use language and images that are racist or sexist, or language and images that belittle a person's religion, sexual preference or ethnicity.

Do not use language and images that include profanity, nudity, sexual activity and sexuality in general, blood or gore, or that violate other rules. This includes pictures and attachments in the image gallery and in the forums.

Don't spam. (You know, posting your site in the shoutbox multiple times, double posting, etc.)

Do not post any referral websites or 3rd party advertising websites.

Flaming will not be tolerated, and will provoke removal from this site.

Do not violate copyright laws.

Do not promote or solicit illegal activities.

Do not impersonate other members.


ATTENTION:

The Cause 4 Alarm Team reserves the right to alter or delete any post, member name, signature file, image or related content on its boards at any time, without prior notice.

Should a violation of the rules result in a user being banned, any new accounts created by the user will also be banned.

The boards are moderated, but sometimes things (objectionable or otherwise) can stay on the boards for a while before someone catches them. We are not responsible—and by entering you agree not to hold us liable—for any message posted in these forums.

Repeated or severe violations of the rules or engaging in actions we deem as abuse of the boards will result in dire consequences (you'll be suspended, banned, hung by your toenails, or turned over to the proper authorities in the case of illegal activity.) Nobody wants that. So don't screw up!

I know some of you guys have been waiting for this for a long time but Promotions are finally here. We have a ton of people getting promoted so lets start off with our new Junior admins!
The following members have shown great activity in both of forums and in-game the past couple of months and we feel they all deserve to be given a shot at Junior Admin! Next up we have our new Senior Staff Admins! These guys have waited a long time for this promotion but every single one of them showed the maturity and growth we were looking for during their trial as Junior Admin. Hopefully these guys keep on growing as admins and keep on doing a great job on the forums and in the servers.
