Just tested it. Seems to be working great

Here are examples of the hud messages I get now: "HE Grenade costs $9000. You have $530"

"Grenade - multiplying with damage reduction"

^^ Not sure what the above message is supposed to mean, but that shows up after you occur some damage by a nade.


Anyway, thanks a bunch for getting this installed and working Haze! This is help with nade spamming AND the "rain of nades" situations.

The damage messages don't mean anything. Being hit for 96 is possible without armor.
I tried a few things, but haven't been able to find the glitch Faz mentioned where people were able to buy nades without spending the 9k.
I did find a glitch though that was mentioned before about people buying nades but not getting it. The issue here is that it takes your money before checking if you can get the nade. If you have a key bound that'll buy a nade amongst other things, even if you're dead or not in a buy zone, it will steal your money for one. But since you're not in a buy zone, or alive, you can't actually receive the grenade.

Issues today, A player by the name of levilain was able to buy more than one nade, and actually pandas was recording him at the time for whitewalling/potential hacker. He bought at least 7 nades and I really don't know how. I'll upload the demo if you all want but all he did was continuously purchase nades and throwing them. I wouldn't know what the issue is because the 9000 price works for me, and for everyone else I know. This is the first I've seen that happen so I wanted to let you all know about it.

Ok. From a practical standpoint this plugin is quite effective in solving the "raining nades" problem (which, I myself, hate dearly).

HOWEVER,

Anyone else notice how empty the iceworld server is nowadays? It's NEVER full & usually whenever it starts up, the regulars like to jump in and raid it of all the noobs i want to frag.
Can the plugin be edited to allow, i dunno, a $6000 nade? It does provide a handicap to less experienced players who tend to need the free hit.
I'm a bit disappointed by recent population decrease, most-likely because of this plugin. It used to be hard to get in, now it's hard to start up.

Shall we discuss a slight modification to the rule in the name of popularity?

I would imagine the population issues are more to do with the server crashes than the plugin.

You have a point, I've noticed the server crashes more often than normal. Perhaps the plugin is the cause of the crashes. Checking the server logs should report any errors that occurred before the crashes.

To me, nothing else has changed since the before the nade-price change. Correct me if I'm wrong. If population graphs on the server are checked; then from the data we may be able to draw conclusions about the effects of the plugin on population/popularity of the server.

I just don't like to see the server empty all the time!

Yeah. The issue though is not the plugin, but that all of C4A's servers are having crashing issues at the moment. It's being worked on, but there are no estimates as to when the issue will be resolved. With any luck though, it should help to quickly restore the population of Iceworld and other servers.
