I think either cheets idea or like 8 grand a nade would be good. I agree with the fact that its broken. Whenever I'm in iceworld if a team has dominated 5-7 rounds without resistance I will restart the rounds to give everyone a fresh start and usually it balances out then goes back to the same team dominating.

to whomever has the idea of "oh that's how the regular's like it" is wrong. i went into the iceworld server today and it was pathetic.

a few things that are common:
i had maybe 30 health max each round.
stacking was VERRRRY apparent. when i started winning the top players from the losing team swapped for the nades, forcing the server to move anyone who just joined to the slaughter team. teams were USUALLY (YES USUALLY) 8v6 with a an afk or two on the losing team. this means its fucking 4v8 half the time+ the insane armor/nade advantage.
i couldn't hold a 2:1 ratio because i got hit by 4 different nades every round.
shitting on people time and time again gets boringly easy especially if they can only get one shot off at you.

this needs to be changed asap. i hardly go in there anymore because of it. and this is the only c4a server i use!

wait.. does this mean we could be rid of you for good if we left things be? damn maybe we shouldnt be changing things...

last i heard the final decision was to make the nades 9k a piece.

Welcome to Iceworld.

Being on the losing team is supposed to be difficult. You're supposed to work harder than the other team, so you can replace them as the winning team.

As for the nades, if you grab the gun right in front of you and go down the nearest alley, you won't be, if at all, hurt by nades.

And this is pretty much a general response to that post only, since I haven't read the rest of this thread. I just stated my general opinion.

The nade issue was discussed, and a decision was made which will probably be put in fairly soon.

Being on the losing team is supposed to be difficult. You're supposed to work harder than the other team, so you can replace them as the winning team.

what kind of logic is that? you've lost 45 rounds in a row but the handicap (nades) is awarded to the winning team? wtf?

"Being on the losing team is supposed to be difficult." - No, winning is supposed to be difficult, facing an enemy who is at least somewhat balanced. Think of it in terms of WINNING! If you have to throw a nade and spam a brown wall, that's fucking boring and TOO EASY.

"grab the gun infront of you" - that brings out an interesting point. having lost 45 rounds in a row, the m4 is always taken by the guy who is 2-13 (lol). so i'm supposed to rush at 4 people with colts and armor with a mac10 or pump? trust me queer you're not good and couldn't pull it off if you were pro. sure i kill 4 of them, but there's 4 more with m4/ak & armor shooting from multiple directions, sometimes whitewalling.

i think something needs to be done about this. The plugin could be operational within the hour...maybe a restart or mapchange badabang badabing over and done with.

I also think the iceworld server should get a bit more admin traffic to enforce the no-whitewalling rule and other c4a rules that aren't as important to me but might be to you nerds :rolleyes:

Are you seriously coming to our forums and calling the c4a staff & community "nerds?" If you are, I highly suggest you find another place to play because we don't put up with bullshit like that from anyone.

Also, if you don't agree with our rules (or think they are "not important"), go play somewhere else.. there are hundreds of other iceworld servers. I'd much rather not deal with people like you who do nothing but complain.

I would apologize for that statement you just made, otherwise nobody here will take you seriously, favor your side/views, or care what you have to say.


Regarding not having enough admins at iceworld, it's just as easy for you or any other player there to do what we do as admins. If you want to help control whitewalling and/or enforce our other rules, try starting a demo.. warn people not to whitewall (or break our other rules).. and catch people doing it after you've warned them (possibly by going into spectator mode). After that, simply post a ban request on our forums.

Our job isn't to babysit the iceworld server 24/7. We also want to enjoy playing CS (or other games) with friends and in the servers we want to play in. We provide more than enough ways to contact admins (in game or outside of game).. but better yet, take control of the situation yourself by reporting rulebreakers.


Lastly, as Kapps mentioned, our staff has came to a decision on what should be done. We are now working to get it put into place with the least amount of disturbance to our iceworld server and other servers. Please be patient.

So being on a losing team is supposed to be easy? It's supposed to be easy to win and take the leading spot? What kind of competition is that? Playing the game in general is difficult. Neither position should be easy with even teams.

There's a little option in the game called moving. If you move fast enough, you can beat out the nades. Usually the other team is distracted with throwing the nades, so you can shoot and kill them easily, even with a gun besides a Colt or AK. There are multiple guns for a reason. If they're shooting from multiple directions, you're in the open. Move to a corner. If you're being whitewalled, warn and report them.

You're easily the cockiest guy here, judging from your last comments.

And about your last comments, I refer to Mr. Sucky's post.

Enough bickering guys. We know the nades are an issue, and have been a complaint for a long time.

The price of the nade is being increased to 9k to help balance it out, also meaning you can only buy one per round unless you stagger it and get some kills then buy another.

We will test this out and see if it improved the 'handicap' as cheets calls it.

I remember Haze saying that a plugin would have to be made for us to be able to decrease only the Nade price. I might be mistaken since this was a while ago so don't quote on me on this.

Yea I'm all up for restricting nades on iceworld until you guys figure out what to do. I see people get upset about nades and the server goes from full to halffull..might wanna think about it guys

I have installed a plugin that changes the price of the grenade to 9000. Can you please test and get back to me. It is supposed to display messages about the price when you try to buy. I can't see them but other users reported seeing them.

Please provide feedback ASAP so I can ask OneEyed to get any bugs fixed.
