So people, admins, me, complain about this a lot.
Having nades in iceworld should be disabled, seeing how one nade can do 80 damage (had one do 108 damage to me in the server a while back)
And usually when the server is full and a team wins, they'll always win due to half of the people are dead right when the round starts
I think they're a complete disadvantage and should be removed :)

I have no problems with them, they pose a challenge if an entire team as nades. That just means you have to work harder to take those fuckers down.

Frag wtf are you talking about, I have never seen you in the Iceworld server ever. All you ever do is shoot down ideas that could make servers better, and now you're talking about how you are so good that you can avoid the 6-10 grenades that are coming at you from the other team. Not to mention the fact that they all have rifles and armor I'm sure you are just so leet you can dodge the nades and work hard to "take those fuckers down"

That being said, I don't know what to say or how to fix. Maybe we can get a mod in there that shuffles the teams around every 10 rounds. If I'm in there on the winner or losing team after every 15 rounds or so if one team is dominating I restart the rounds so everyone is back on the same playing field again. As much as nades make it annoying that are beatable and again its not so much to do with the nades but it has a lot to do with armor as well and also team stacking.

I am stuck in the middle of this proposition. I have seen plugins in another server that limit the amount of awps or a certain gun on a team. Is it possible to do this with nades? For instance have a limit of 3-4 nades per team. If this was to happen it would seem more fair without giving that advantage away.

Iceworld is the basically the only server I play in. The only time I even go into another server is if someone needs me, then I may play in there for a bit but that's about it. And no it's really not that difficult to avoid nades in Iceworld, play in there sometime and maybe you'll find out.

God forbid one of our servers is actually challenging to play in, we should probably enable guns in the Knife Arena server as well.

See this is a much better solution then actually just removing it all together. Haze even mentioned doing this before, we limit it to only one nade per round per player. That means if they've already bought a nade somewhere in the middle of the round, you can't purchase one to lob at the beginning of the next.

That'd cut down on more then one thing, nade spamming and people complaining at the beginning of rounds.

I've made this argument many times in the past. Some of the regulars like it because it essentially auto-stacks the teams when they get ahead. Most of the people that float in and out of the server find it annoying as hell.

I like the idea that Gee and fleshlight touched on... instead of getting rid of nades all together (which add a different element to iceworld & which are considered fun to use by most), we should focus on limiting the amount a certain team can have or limiting the amount of times a player can purchase a nade (i.e. not every round, but maybe once every 2-3 rounds).

Another thing to consider is if we limit nades, should we limit armor (kevlar) as well? Doesn't purchasing the Helmet + Kevlar give a significant advantage over those without it? Just something to consider.

NOTHING in this game will ever be fair, so I don't get how one argument means more over the others. Crouch Walking gives other players an advantage over other people who don't want to do it, but no one seems to care about that.


I think if anything, just limited nades to 1 per round would suffice.

Is there anyone to spawn people with Kevlar and a helmet?

That would still give a fair advantage to the team with the grenades and it wouldn't hurt the other team as bad.

I'm in there regularly and I have never seen you, but of course the 2.4 hours of cs in the past 2 weeks has probably all been in the iceworld server so you must know what you're talking about.

yes everytime its brought up someone shoots it down and says they are noob for suggesting it. im in favor of removing nades and kevlar completely if you want it fair thats the solution. its all about skill with whatever gun you happen to manage to pick up and mow down the other team with.

but if you really wanna cut down on the bitching and moaning reword that god forsaken white walling rule. i mean its bad enough when an ex admin calls us in and tells us that people are white walling and try to tell us we dont know what white walling means when were specing for 10-20 minutes and the people are only shooting the brown walls >.<

Just because I don't frequent there as much in past two fucking weeks doesn't mean I haven't played a lot in that server. Mercutio used to play that server exclusively and he could probably tell you the same damn thing about the server. Stop trying to instigate shit with everyone cause you don't like me or others. Or better yet, go stalk my Steam profile a little more.

A lot of the time, the people doing it are constantly typing /admin and watching if an admin is in the server. You can usually tell if someone is doing this if that list of admins is constantly popping up in your console.
